Manju Baruah, the first woman tea garden manager of Apeejay Tea’s Hilika Tea Estate who broke Assam tea industry’s 200-year-old glass ceiling was hired in 2000 when the company broke the norm to hire women for plantation welfare.

Apeejay is the only tea company to fund Human Elephant Mitigation strategy for the Brahmputra landscape, reducing death and injury drastically to both humans and elephants in the plantations.

Park Mansions - The Living History
Originally built in 1910, this heritage property was acquired by Apeejay Surrendra group in 1976. Restoration work began in 2006 and after 5 years of rigorous restoration, we successfully brought back its lost aura.
Apeejay Surrendra Group was conferred a prestigious heritage award for the phenomenal conservation work.
